Gigi Hausman

I grew up in Omaha, Nebraska, and to be honest, when I was a kid I hated dance class. I just couldn't jive with the pink leotard and tights :/ Thank god, things do change! I soon found myself spending all my time either at school or at the studio. 
 
I moved away from my hometown to attend Baldwin Wallace University, but as my freshman year was passing, I had a nagging feeling that something wasn't quite right. I left Baldwin Wallace and moved to NYC when I was 19. 
 
It was a long and arduous journey, and very intimidating as a teenager, but through a lot of hard work and the kindness of people in our community, I slowly went from "child who has no idea what's going on" to "student of the craft" to "working professional." I've now performed in international tours, concert dance, regional theatre, music videos, and even served on the creative team and cast of an eight million dollar world-premiere musical.

In my spare time I like to hike (Acadia is my favorite park), read (I love my book club!), and travel (ask me where I'm going next!).
